Here at Bobbing Hill Veterinary Surgery we endeavour to diagnose and treat, where possible, the majority of cases under one roof. There will be certain patients with conditions that require specialist treatment outside of our level of expertise. When this situation arises, we want to be able to continue to treat your pet on site, in surroundings familiar to them. This is why we have teamed up with specialists who will travel to Bobbing Hill Veterinary Surgery and perform any treatment needed. We are very aware of the anxiety and inconvenience (for pet and owner) that accompanies referrals to external facilities and we want to try and facilitate a higher level of care and continuity throughout.
Dr Christoph K Störk Dr.Med.Vet., DES ChirPA, DipECVS, MRCVS is an RCVS recognised specialist in small animal surgery. Christoph will be there to help us assess any orthopaedic problems with your pets, carrying out any surgery required within a speedy timeframe.
Dr Karen Caswell BVSc BSc MRCVS is a specialist veterinary ophthalmologist who can be on site promptly to assess any complex ocular problems your pet may have and implement effective treatment straight away.
We have also teamed up with Meopham Veterinary Hospital, an independent practice Tim used to work at, who have an onsite CT scanner for use as an out-patient procedure. Computer Tomography (CT) is a more advanced form of imaging that allows us to view a 3D image of your pet’s bones, organs and vessels and can be used to diagnose conditions when conventional x-rays and ultrasound cannot. CT is indicated for cases of elbow dysplasia, angular limb deformities, tumour diagnosis and monitoring, inner ear disease, abdominal foreign body investigations, imaging of the nasal chambers for chronic nasal discharge and acute traumatic injuries.
These partnerships have been carefully considered following many years of first hand working experiences built on trust.
